About

Dr Bruce Jones

After working in General Practice for many years, I completed a Diploma in Horticulture and in 2001 set up my own Landscape Design business, which I successfully ran for several years. In late 2010, I was subsequently invited by the National Institute of Integrative Medicine in Hawthorn (NIIM), to develop Courses in Integrative Medicine for both Medical & Natural Health professionals, as well as for the general public. I was thereby employed in a Senior Lecturer’s role, both in Course development and post-graduate Medical Education.

In 2013, I completed an Advanced Diploma in Nutritional Medicine, prior to moving to the Mornington Peninsula and setting up Peninsula Clinical Nutrition. Nutritional Medicine is the cornerstone of Integrative Medicine, and as such, offers tremendous possibilities for the treatment of chronic illness, and offers hope for those who despair of getting real solutions through conventional medical channels.

As a Registered Healthcare Practitioner, I am not affiliated with AHPRA but rather registered through the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS), which is the principal Registration Authority for Natural Health professionals within Australia. Such registration facilitates the availability of rebates for Nutritional Consultations from the larger Private Health Funds, where one has taken out Extras cover in addition to one’s Private Health insurance.
